Dear parish members:
It is with great pleasure that your vestry has offered Fr. Don an opportunity to continue as our Priest-in-Charge during our search process for a permanent rector.  He has graciously accepted this change. This offer is, as always, dependent on the approval of Bishop Cate.
This decision has been made to provide stability and continuity for all of us as we continue our search for a new priest.
We are grateful to Fr. Don and Marcie for continuing to serve the needs of our congregation.

Blessings to all,

Jane Brewer
Senior Warden

Dear friends:

I have always had the most confidence in the reality of change.  We can always count on change. With that thought in mind, I write to you to let you know that I have accepted the request/offer of the vestry to stay in place at St. Christopher’s until a new priest is on the way.  This is a truly unexpected change of course for Marcie and me as we were well into planning a retirement vacation.   Our new agreement must be approved by the Bishop.

The work ahead, during this unexpected extension of interim ministry, involves the need to more fully appreciate the wisdom and tradition of the Episcopal parish structure particularly the role and leadership of the laity.

I am delighted at the prospect of being able to “stick-around” a little longer and although quite surprised, pleased with the opportunity to spend more time in areas either not started or not finished.

Yours in Christ,

The Reverend Don Davidson
Priest-in-Charge
